About Us                                                                                                          Hope Action Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, community-based organization. Established in May 1987 and has been funded by the United States Conference of Mayors, the Texas Department of Health, the Office of Minority Health, the Centers for Disease Control, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, and many other generous corporations, businesses and private donors. Hope provides affordable housing, HIV/STD/Substance Abuse prevention education, mental health and substance abuse counseling as well as providing referrals for our clients within the community. Hope is committed to improving the quality of life for everyone but particularly for those who are on the fringes of society. We pride ourselves on helping everyone in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
